Meet the Board of Directors
Brandon Stockert - Executive Director
I am a husband of 13 years, a teacher of 13 years, and a father of 3. I married my wife is 2006, and 5 years later, we become foster parents and adopted 3 children, who are now 5, 7, and 8 years old. Fun fact: for 4 months out of the year, our 2 oldest girls are the same age! The Lord gave me a desire to work with children, which led me to my profession as an 8th grade mathematics teacher, as well as a head wrestling coach. My family and I are very involved in our church, where I serve as an elder and on the governing board. My wife and I have served faithfully on the board of Father to the Fatherless for almost 5 years, and we have seen tremendous blessing in this ministry throughout the years. We are thankful to serve and support the ministry however we can, because we have heard God's calling and seen God's hand in this work since the beginning! Rhiannon Stockert - Secretary I serve as the secretary for Father to the Fatherless. My husband, Brandon, and I have been married since 2006, and we were foster parents for 5 years. We fostered a teenage boy during that time, and fostered and adopted 3 babies, who are now 4, 7 and 8 years old. I've taught Sunday School to many ages for the last 14 years, and have also volunteered at a battered women's shelter and as a counselor at a local Pregnancy Center. Like my husband, I am also a teacher. I teach Reading and Writing to 3rd, 4th, and 5th graders at a wonderful Christian school. I love to sing, and I practice with a local choir weekly. I also love to read whenever I can. I count it a blessing to be a part of Father to the Fatherless, and am excited to see where the Lord will lead us! |
Ruth Kinnett - General Member
My name is Ruth Kinnett. I am a long-term resident of the Grand Valley having come to this area in 1975. I am actually a native of Colorado having been born in Denver and given up for adoption. I was fortunate enough to be adopted by a rancher and his wife and raised on a ranch in Eagle, Co. So, I can relate in a small measure what some of the children are going through in Uganda. My husband and I raised two beautiful daughters and his youngest brother. We now have 8 grand children and 5 great grandchildren. We have been blessed indeed. I had met Mathias a few years ago and knew he had established this wonderful charity, Father to the Fatherless, which to me was such a wonderful God pleasing thing to do, especially knowing how my life could have been. After my husband passed away and I retired from 30 years in real estate, I needed something to occupy my time, so I asked the Lord to place me where he needed me to go. Mathias called me that very same day. Prayers said and prayers answered. I hope to bring something of value to this wonderful organization in the upcoming years. |
